Tasting Note

This is a buttery Burgundy on steroids. Classical Chardonnay characteristics (enhanced with a little of the local Muscat) yet the high alcohol and oak influence of a big red. Nothing subtle about it but great fun.

Pair with roast poultry, creamy sauces, rich fish, or soft cheeses — a powerful, oak-driven white built for indulgent dishes.

This Bulgarian white wine is a blend of Chardonnay and the local variety Vrachanski Misket. It's from Tipchenitza's 'Oak Barrel' series which embraces first fill oak barrels and premium positioning.

Tipchenitza Winery were early adopters of the lightweight bottle, reducing the environmental impact of transporting wines. They are also members of the Sustainable Wine Round Table.
